Jessica & Chris // A Charleston Society Hall Wedding
.
Baby
We've come a long way
And baby
You know I hope and I pray
That you believe me
When I say this love will never fade away
Oh, because
You are the best thing
You are the best thing
You are the best thing
Ever happened to me
- "You Are The Best Thing" Ray Lamontagne
I was so excited to be a part of Jessica and Chris’ spring wedding earlier this year. I photographed Jessica as a beautiful bride at her bridal session and I could not wait for Chris to see her on the wedding day!
Their wedding day was full with family and friends, love and smiles. The ceremony was held at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer and afterwards, the couple and the wedding party made their way downtown for portraits on the beautiful historics streets of Charleston. The celebration continued at Society Hall in true southern style. Jessica and Chris were announced as husband a wife and wowed us all with a beautifully choreographed dance, complete with a twirling bride and swooning dip. As the sun set on a beautiful Charleston evening, delicious food was shared, loving words were spoken and kisses were stolen on the dance floor. After a night of memories created, Jessica and Chris bid farewell to their guests and depart via one of my favorite Charleston getaways - a wedding day pedicab! Thanks so much to the fantastic couple for allowing me to celebrate this amazing day with them and their families and friends.
Special thanks to my second photographer Jen Baltgalvis for all of her hard work!

The Flynn Family // A Wild Dunes Family Portrait Session
.
Wind in the hair, sand between the toes, and giggles, tons of giggles. I just loved photographing this sweet family on the early morning beach this summer.
Jessica // A Lowndes Grove Bridal Portrait
.
I love photographing bridal sessions. What girl doesn't love getting their hair and makeup done, dressing in a beautiful gown at a gorgeous location, modeling for the camera and being glamorous for a day!? The sessions are always so much fun for everyone involved and it is such a great way for the bride and I to get to know each other more. before the wedding day.
This lovely bride's session was no exception. Jessica was a gorgeous bride-to-be in February and we photographed her at Society Hall, her reception venue, and at Lowndes Grove for it's classic southern beauty. She was absolutely stunning amongst the beautiful architecture, grand staircases, dripping chandeliers and oak trees. I couldn't be more excited to share this beautiful bridal session with you.
Jessica, you're gorgeous. :)
Enjoy!!
Lydia & Baird // A No. 5 Faber Wedding in Charleston, SC
.
Well you send my life a whirling
Darling when you're twirling
On the floor
And who cares about tomorrow?
Girl, what more is tomorrow?
Than another day.
When you swept me away
Yeah you swept me away
Yeah you swept me away
-'Swept Away' by The Avett Brothers
The new year is all about starting something new and what a perfect time to have a wedding! Lydia and Baird are an amazing couple, so in love, and so happy to get married. On their January wedding day, they were surrounded by amazing family and friends, all celebrating their love and the new year. It was such an incredible day!
After spending the morning with friends and family, the couple saw each other for the first time as a bride and groom at the Old Pitt Street Bridge in Mt. Pleasant. Baird's reaction to his beautiful bride was priceless and all he could do was hug his beautiful lady. The couple and their handsome wedding party gathered for photos in the gardens of the always beautiful St. Luke's Chapel in downtown Charleston. After their ceremony in the chapel, the entire celebration moved to the brand new No.5 Faber for dinner and dancing and memories. The Charleston Wedding Band kept everyone on their feet all night until the couple departed on the cobblestones under a shower of lavender petals. The entire day was a wonderful celebration for an amazing couple. I am so happy I was able to be a part of their special day! Congrats Lydia & Baird!
Special thanks to my second photographer Adam Chandler and assistant Kelsey Miller for all of their hard work!

Lindsay // A Charlestowne Landing Baby Belly Session

This radiant momma-to-be is one of my lovely past brides! How gorgeous is she?! Charlestown Landing in the spring is such a lovely location, and it was a perfect compliment to Lindsay in all her loveliness.
It was so amazing to photograph Lindsay and her husband Jim as they ventured into this next step in their lives. I've been lucky enough to celebrate with this awesome couple at their winter wedding and their engagement session and I can't wait to share photos of their new arrival soon!
Enjoy!!
Beth & John // A Lake House at Bulow Wedding
.
I'm in luck, I'm in deep, yeah
Hypnotized, I'm shakin' to my knees
-Def Leppard, 'Hysteria'
I love December weddings. There is a buzz in the air in that time between Christmas and New Year where everyone is excited about new things. There is no better time to have a wedding!!
Beth and John celebrated the amazing wedding day at the beautiful Lake House at Bulow on Johns Island. The unseasonably warm day was full of beautiful sunshine and excited family and friends. The gorgeous ceremony site was set on the island in the lake, beneath a grove of pine trees. I loved the ceremony backdrop, two rustic old doors that Beth and John found themselves. Soft florals with hints of pink and peach added a feminine touch to the rustic cabin at the lake. Candle lit lanterns only added to the twilight as guests of all ages enjoyed dancing under the moonlit sky.
It was a honor to be a part of Beth and John's wedding day, for so many reasons. They are a truly wonderful couple with so much to celebrate. Their wonderful family and friends made the day even more amazing. Weddings around the holidays are such a special time for family and friends to celebrate, and I love being a part of that magic.
